there are a few guys that have'nt been around that long...but are good guys and contributors to this board, why not after opening up a vet area, have a vote on a few members.

There are some people that have been a member for years...and have never really posted

I was thinking we would limit access based on the following:

- Once you reach the rank of Lightweight or above you gain access to the forum. I believe having 1,000 posts shows you are a contributing member on the site.
- If a newer member wants access and the veteran members feel they are worthy, I can personally grant them access and bypass the ranking requirement. You guys can even vote on the members, it really doesn't matter to me.

As long as people don't stop contributing in the public forums I don't see any issue with a private forum for more discreet topics.

I don't think we would stop contributing to the public , that's were most of the questions will be coming from and that's why most of us are here ... to help people .

This may cut down on some journals if we start a VIP journal section.

I will still post my journal in the public section.

We could have threads in the vet section to discuss individual journals or aspects of that journal, but I think the journal itself should be kept public as an example.

Unless, of course, you end up like Dan and have to empty your pm box everytime you post a journal entry. I'd say that journal should stay private for the benefit of the people that don't pm spam.
