Default Casein (ON) vs. Blend (ON Pro-Complex)

Hello,

I was wondering what you guys would suggest as a better protein for my situation.

My dimensions: 5 foot 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, more body fat than I would like, but my current goal is putting on as much muscle as I can. If I was ANY sort of cut I would say I'd weigh 150-155. All of my extra body fat is concentrated in my belly and my legs, so while I am wearing clothes I appear very well proportioned and fit. For additional perspective, I supplement with creatine, have been since I started lifting again. I went from 160 to 170 in about 6-8 weeks while taking it. My lifts all increased dramatically.

Currently, I use ON's 100% Casein as a snack during the day, usually in-between meals. Sometimes if my schedule dictates, I will use it as a meal replacement. It is always mixed with a heaping spoon full of Trader Joe's Natural Peanut Butter, and on days I am not working out, I will add 5g creatine as well (I supplement 10g of creatine per day). I always use milk to mix it.

At first, I bought it to drink before bed. However, because I work out at night (get to the gym between 9 and 10 and my workout lasts about 1.5 hours) my last meal of the day comes extremely close to when I sleep (maybe 1.5 hours, even closer on some days if I'm running late and arrive at the gym later than I'd like). That being the case, I no longer use it for that purpose.

Since I am about to run out, I am wondering if the Pro-Complex by Optimum Nutrition would be a better choice for me when I go back to the store for a new tub. Again, I will use it for purposes of a snack or meal replacement in the afternoon or early evening, if I need to eat and cannot, for whatever reason, take in a solid meal.

Thank you for your responses.
