That's weird...I've never heard of that before. If you're just getting back to lifting, the odds are that it's not the creatine. But who knows...

Personally, I have not had the tiredness side effect or heard the cycling of creatine being necessary after awhile.

I have never had a lethargy issue with creatine of any kind before. Not saying it cant happen, but I would look at the hydration issue. I would bet that the lethargy would subside if you up your fluid intake.

Need advice
I have taken creatine mono (6-star) after each work out also with the 100% whey protein (GNC) mixed with milk.
I found the creatine wickid sweet. O_o.
I thought my insulin level skidded way outta control.
I followed the mixing and loading directions, but all that sugar flushing into your system can't be good for your body./?
Am I playing Russian Roulette with this creatine stuff?
Will there be adverse and long term side affects from flooding your blood stream with this stuff?
-Need advice from the more experianced BB's here please. Many thanks. Pete.

Creatine mono is almost tasteless. Certainly not sweet. So it would have had to have a bunch of sweet stuff added to it.
High GI carbohydrates can be fine after a workout because of the so-called window of oppurtunity..actually just read throught the pre and post workout nutrition sticky (nutrition section) and it will explain all of that. Could be that high gi carbs post workout are not for you or it could be that you need to be able to control the dose.
BUT if you feel like it's too much then for sure don't do it. But again creatine is NOT sugar nor does it have anything to do with sugar. The so-called insulin affects from creatine themselves are not going to be that pronounced. It is simply a tri-peptide (three amino's). Many creatine prodcuts have high gi carbs added to them to act as a shuttle.
Sounds like you need to do more research on creatine itself to answere all your basic questions. But no, you are not playing russian rouletee. Creatine is the most researched sup pretty much ever and it has yet to be shown to have any real safety concerns.
And there is no scientific validity to the statement that creatine needs to be "cycled" like the other guy was saying. Just one more word attached to creatine that makes the media think it's a steroid.

What is the best
Yeah you are right that I should do more research on it.
But it is a creatine from Six Star it is a fruit punch almost kinda like cool aid mix you have to mix it and mix it to make the crystals desolve.
It may not be mono, but it is creatine I do know that much.
And it is wickid sweet. Way too sweet!
What is the best (or should I say most effective creatine)?
Thank you, Pete.

Creatine is creatine. It doesn't matter what kind you use as long as you know how to use it....have you read through this whole thread or did you just go to the last page and post?

I think your six starr has like 40 grams of dextrose in it plus sucralose to make it sweeter. Dextrose is pretty much the same as glucose. I'm sure it's all on the label.
The creatine is creatine mono and two other kinds of designer creatine which basically means you are getting less creatine overall....
Like Ross said you just need plain old creatine mono without any other ingredients.

can you please post a link to this six star creatine your using, I cant find any info on it. is it just monohydrate, or does it include a glucose carrier?
I can potentially see two reasons why you feel like shit from it. One would be if its just plain mono, you may not be getting enough glucose from the milk your using. Milk has a lot of sugar, but it also acts strangely in the body for many reasons. Two, if six star has a glucose carrier, maybe that plus the milk is just too much sugar for your body at once. (this is my guess because you said the creatine is very sweet, and mono by itself is bitter as hell)
either way, you should rest assured when using quality creatine mono. It is the most researched suppliment on the market (save whey i would imagine), its been proven safe time and time again.
