The only problem with premixed creatine blends like Cell Tech is that you cannot know for certain how much creatine you just scooped out of a container that is loaded with dextrose and sprinkled with ALA.

Your friend's throat burned cause of the Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Cell Tech is way too expensive and has waay too much dextrose (sugar). Your friend was probably really bloated which will add some extra weight. You'd be better served making your own blend to save money..

Cell Tech: $39.00 for 20 servings at BN.com

Homebrew: Creatine Mono, Dextrose, Taurine, ALA (4 main ingredients)

- Prolab Creatine: $21 (100 servings, 10 grams per) BN.com
- ALA: $7.99 (30 servings, 200 mg per) BN.com
- Taurine: $6 (50 servings, 3 grams per) BN.com
- Dextrose: $9 (32 servings, 50 grams per) TP.com

Total Cost- $43.99 for 30 servings (before the ALA ran out first)
or you could buy an extra bottle of ALA and another $2.25 bag of dextrose and have over 50 servings!!..And all that doesn't really even need the ALA or taurine, those are just an extra bonus.

Another option is to just buy a giant 1000 gram tub of CEE from Bulknutrition which costs $29.99. 3 grams per serving so it'll last you for a long time. And you wouldn't need any of that other stuff either.

I'm with 0311 on this one, Cell tech is way over priced and you can make it by yourself for alot cheaper.

Yeah, a lot of these premixed formulas you can make yourself from bulk.

BTW, 0311, that's some expensive dextrose. How many pounds is that? Maybe it mixes better but still...

One thing I'd like to add is that for some reason everyone seems to think they have to get everything from a bodybuilding supply house. For things that you don't want in powder..such as ALA, vitamins/minerals/ all sorts of other things if you go to a general supplement place that caters to the overall public you'll save a bunch.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

True Protein's dextrose is $2.25 per pound. 8 servings per pound at 50 grams per serving.

NOW dextrose is $2 per 2 lbs.. TP's is more expensive, but I prefer it.

That's not as bad as I thought. I didn't know how many servings in a pound

Well 0311 pretty much did sum it up but if this is the first time you're trying creatine either get some regular creatine monohydrate for which you'll need some dextrose or at least to mix it with something like grape juice or apple juice OR get some CEE (creatine ethyl ester) for which you won't need anything else. Skip the ALA.

Once you take into account the much smaller dosage of CEE required the cost isn't too bad. Definitely convenient. But either way will work.
