Well I'll concede that...the b vitamins anyway. But you know...that could fall under the deficiency heading. A bunch of asprin and 4 or 5 glasses of water will work wonders to :biglaugh:

I get your point though, haha.

:biglaugh: So maybe it would fall under the deficiency category. I never considered that. :D

After a few days, I always feel a steady stream of energy when I get the Beverly International packs. At $1 per day, well worth it.

Not placebo because I don't "look" for anything. I'm always subtly aware after a couple of days that I wake up easier and am more refreshed throughout the day.

I think those are pretty good also. I haven't tried them, but I looked over them when I was researching vitamin packs. They are one of the most cost effective "vitamins" when you compare them to other products that are as comprehensive.

Now if I take a multi before drinking, right after, and the next morning, it's not nearly as bad. That's the only time I've ever seen a difference.

Huh...good to know!! I normally take Ibprofen and eat a sandwich after a night of drinking :)

^^ My routine is this (I always eat before; same as a workout :D):
Pre drinking
Multivitamin
8oz water

Post drinking
Multivitamin
B-complex
6oz low sodium V8
8oz gatorade
1 banana
1oz honey

Following morning
Probiotic blend
Multivitamin
B-complex
Antioxidant capsule (vit E, A, & C, and ALA)
8oz gatorade
1 banana
1oz honey

Does the fact that I do all of that make me a loser? :006:

I think I can tell a marked difference in my day when I have taken a multi-vitamin and when I have not. Not that it is the difference between a great day and a horrible day, but I can tell if I forget. Maybe I have some kind of vitamin deficiency that a multi-vitamin helps to overcome? Who knows. Hell, it could be placebo effect, only like Darkhorse said, I don't expect anything out of it. It is something I noticed rather after the fact. I had been taking multi-vitamins for a while and then I missed a few days and felt kinda run down, etc. Could be coincidence, but like clock work it happens if I stop taking them. I will also say that I can't feel the difference between one brand or another. It isn't that I feel one is superior to another and I tend towards something cheap for the most part. I tried something like Animal Pack and it doesn't do me any more good than GNC or even Rite Aid brand. But without any I can feel it.

This is a great vitamin pack and I've been using it for a couple of years now. There are some cheaper options like ISS Research Super Vitamin Pak but Beverly Internationals is more complete and covers all your bases. Also if your chugging down large meals the digestive enzymes will help quite a bit.

That being said I am sure certain aspects of these packs are overkill, but after seeing how much money people waste on questionable supplements I could never figure out why they skimp on multivitamins.

Multivitamins

There are a lot of proven advantages to taking multivitamins for people that have high nutritional needs. Such as people working out 5+ times a week or pregnant women. A lot of the confusion comes from the fact that much of research is focused on normal needs. If you eat a lot of vegetables you also probably don't need a multivitamin, but I found most people don't.
