Default How much carbs with creatine?

Hi,

What's the right amount of carbs to take with creatine? I have grape juice, dextrose and maltodextrose but I'm not sure which would be best to take with creatine and how much. Thanks.

Riley

dextrose and malto are cheaper than grape juice...i think ross said 30 grams is optimal...i just throw a teaspoon of waxy maize in with my creatine on off days.

35

It's an arbitrary number though. Somewhere in that range will do.

I would prefer to use grape juice is supposed to be really healthy. The Kirkland Signature Newman's Own grape juice that I buy from Costco says it has 40g total carbohydrates and 39g sugars in 8oz. I don't mind paying extra to drink grape juice if it'll have a health benefit over just consuming plain sugar.

Is the carbs/sugars from the 8oz. of grape juice the right 'type' to have with creatine or do I need a mix of dextrose, maltodextrose and grape juice?

Thanks.
