Protein is food. You consume it not "take" it

If you need the shakes to reach your protein needs than drink them. But you definitely do not need to purchase such and expensive isolate. Unless you just like to spend extra cash.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

To follow up on what was said, a shake is great first thing in the AM and immediately PWO when your body is starving for the aminos. Other than that if you can reach your protein needs through whole foods (25-30% of your total calories) then I wouldn't do any other shakes. I would also revisit your training split. Your muscle groupings are a bit odd and there is no need to train chest and bis twice a week. That won't help them grow, it will overtrain them, which will actually hinder growth (presuming you are natural). Why would you train those two body parts twice but nothing else? Also, if you're looking to gain muscle, best to drop the cardio. -EK

Personally I'll consume one shake post work out, though usually my protein intake is from steaks, chicken, and tuna. Invest in sardines, I'm dead serious. I hate the taste but they are PACKED with protein in correlation with the amount per serving. Just look out for sodium levels. Also using protein peanut butter in your shakes is good too. But yeah, post work out and the morning of is IMO the most opportune time to consume a shake. But don't neglect your wholefoods!
