I can't say any supplement is SAFE, but as long as you take it as directed you should be okay.

I would recommend that if you are that worried to take supplements, you either go to the doctor and get a physical or don't take them.

Every supplement has side effects whether they are positive or negative.

This is absolutely right. Most supplements have been tested and for the majority of people are safe to take within the prescribed regimen. However, a small percentage of people may be negatively impacted by a given supplement. My advice is to do your research before you try anything and if you have concerns talk to a professional (that does not mean GNC!!) Good luck.

Ephedra is a perfect example of an effective ingredient. But many people were taking more than the prescribed amount, not drinking enough water while out in high temperatures, and were dropping dead.

I personally have taken ephedra when it was availiable and that stuff made my workouts intense. There are other alternatives now, but it will only be a matter of time before individuals abuse these too.

Thats why I try not to take supplements for granted and stick to the basics, that way if they do ban supplements I can always get my creatine from fish and beef, and my protein from eggs, meat, nuts, and dairy.
