this weekend was insanity, after my 3 hrs sleep on thurs night, I trained fri from 7 to 10, then saterday from 9 to 4, then sunday from 9 to 2. The workouts consisted of lots of conditioning, sparring (both medium, and hard contact), Randori, and kata (forms) mostly for endurance training. We also got a little bit of weapons work in on sunday.

It was a rough weekend, and I barely slept most of it, even worse i barely ate. For some reason when I push myself to the point of exhaustion, i cant eat, my stomach cramps up and I cant hold food down. I puked twice durring saterdays workout, and dry heaving while grappling is always fun.

I'm still sitting at 255lbs as of this morning, I think my lack of eating really hurt me in the fatloss department this weekend. Again since I was going on next to no sleep, Leviathan help tremendiously. I took off yesterday to recover, I jammed up my right pointer finger pretty bad, and ripped a bunch of skin off my foot also, I will prob be back in the gym tonight.

I need to switch up my training a bit, I really need to work on cardio vascular indurance more, so i will be upping the running on off days. I also need to get my legs in better shape, after a few sparring sessions they were dead, my footwork went to shit, and i had to rely soley on my hands. It will all come together soon, I have another weekend workout coming up august 25th, then a weekend camp sept 7th I believe, I need to ready for war by then.
Now that's some hardcore training.. Man, I'm feel sore just reading that. Get some good r&r. I know how much of a pain getting skin ripped off is.

The only thing I can think of that will help with legs when it comes to endurance and sparring is jump rope, jump squats and jump switch step lunges. For the jump squats, you don't need weight just fast and with a pace. You can also add a 180 twist to it. So squat down, jump up and turn 180 and repeat. For the jump switch step lunges, take some light weight, do a lung and from the lung position jump up switch your legs so the leg that was in front is back and vice versa and go down into a lung, repeat.

This is what really gets the legs burning for me.

Thanks Dave!

It was also suggested that I do squat kicks, so along the same lines as what your saying. i like the spin variant, i will give those a try too. Its been a while since I trained like that, i was fairly suprised that i held up as well as i did, but by the end of the day sunday i was basicly a punching bag. I hate that feeling, so I'm gonna bust my ass to make sure it doesnt happen again.

^^ yeah squat kicks are a bane on my existance, but they sure as hell are benificial.

Tuesdays workout:

5min drills

flat db press 12 sets of 3 @ 80lbs
standing tbar 11 sets of 3 @ 115lbs
leg press 12 sets of 3 @ 8 plates

super sets

db curls @ 45lbs, oh tri ext @ 35lbs (2 sets of 10)
frt shld raise @ 25 lbs, side raise @ 25 lbs (2 sets of 10)

This was one of the best workouts I've had in a while, the last 2 weeks i've been stuck at 10 sets on db bench, but i blew through that last night, I could have gone more if I took a little less rest on a few sets, so i'll know for next week. i felt really good in the gym, and every set was explosive, I'm very happy right now.

Leviathan

Not much to report, the stim effects are still very much there, and I feel like i'm tightening up a bit, we will have to wait to see what the scale says next week.

I had to work late again last night, so my workout was a little shorter then I would have wanted, ok, it was a lot shorter but atleast I did something I guess.

did a 10 min warm up of mostly dynamic streching, then squat kicks 6 sets of 10 super setted with plyo pushups (with clap) 6 sets of 5. 15 minutes shadow boxing, abs work was 4 sets of 15 crunches, then 15 minutes static streching (the split routine that can be found in erics streching sticky).

It wasnt much but since my legs were still sore from tuesday the squat kicks were hard as hell. I did my best to keep any rest periods short so I could keep my heart rate up, and the whole thing took roughly 50 minutes.

diet: my diet has been a bit more on point the last few days, Its tough with all the travel an I have a wedding this weekend so thats gonna dent my good intentions on the food side. But all in all I feel like I'm tightening up a bit, I feel strong, and the cardio endurance is picking up a bit.

Leviathan:

I am still feeling the stim effects, partly because I added in some reset AD, but I'm wondering if Lev is a beta 2 antagonist like e/c stack. If so, does reset AD help regulate that receptor so it isnt downgraded? I like this stuff so far, seems to be more of a recomp then a strickly fat burner, since the scale hasnt moved, but my belt loops have.

Weekend update:

wieght this morning 258

I had a wedding this weekend, but I watched what i ate fairly well. I didnt take leviathan on saterday due to the drinking I was doing, which could explain a little bit about why I've put some pounds back on. But I honestly think at this point my wiegh in schedual has to change. Logically since i'm doing a modified ckd, monday is going to be my heaviest day. I low carb all week, then sundays is my carb up, so monday morning I'm going to be at my heaviest. Its not a true representation of my wieght, especially since I gorge myself on sundays. From now on i'm going to wiegh in on friday mornings, that should be a better indicator of my actual wieght, since on previous ckd's i've been known to fluctuate 4-7lbs or more after a carb up.

Leviathan works great on either recomp or cut... depends on your diet mostly. The recomp effects are amazing though.

Yohimbine / caffeine / etc all are beta 2 antagonists.. Reset AD helps to nourish the adrenal glands so they can operate more efficiently. The pregnenolone also works to downregulate (caffeine upregulates these receptors) receptors so they can start to overcome tolerance. Let me know if you want more detail on this

If you drank, you might be retaining some water still. I wouldn't worry to much.

yeah talo, I'm not too worried, even after seeing the scale, i still feel/look leaner, and bunch of people have commented to that effect.

yesterday i hit the tredmill for 25 minutes, did a 5 minute warm up, then 1.5 miles, then 5 minute cool down. I could have gone longer cardio vascularly, but my legs got really tired toward the end.

On a side note, i injured my right hand pretty badly on saterday, I was being an idiot and fell on the black top, I jammed up my wrist pretty bad. I wont be able to lift for atleast a week or so, maybe more. Kinda sucks, but I will still hit legs, and try to focus more on my cardio efforts.
