Default Muscle Milk & Weight Gainer

I was looking at Muscle Milk today and I see that it has 18 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, and 32 grams of protein per serving. I'm trying to bulk up, would this be a good decision to take this?

I also was thinking of purchacing a jug of Weight Gainer. I am been lifting for about 5 months and literally haven't gained an ounce. It looks like I have in the mirror but on the scale I haven't made any progress. I am looking to put on some seriouse muscle.

5'0
120
8% body fat

For gaining weight try eating more. Lots more. If you need a weight gainer, try NLarge. There a few people 'round here who seem to like that product. I go with NLarge before Muscle Milk.

I have been eating a lot more however, I can't force feed myself. I can eat like 4 meals a day tops. Not a big appitite

On the weight gainer subject, just don't even get the muscle milk only weight gainer?

And can I get the Nlarge at GNC?

I think you have been putting on mass but you have also been burning fat, which would seem like your not moving.. and also remember muscle weighs more than fat.. so you are doing very well IMAO.. just keep it up and stay with a clean diet so you don't have to waste too much time cutting later down the road..

Stay away from GNC if you want to be able to afford actual food. Ordering online is the cheapest.

I've never been blessed with a huge appetite, either. Shakes may help increase your appetite over time. One trick is to use a small shake several times a day rather than one or two big ones, especially with a weight gainer shake. The suggested serving is only a suggestion, after all.

Try to eat as big a breakfast as possible. It will probably make you more hungry at lunch time. Also, I, myself eat like crazy in the evening time, cuz that's when I'm hungriest. Just no carbs before bedtime.

I, like many people, drink a protein shake before bedtime. Just protein - either whey or whey and casein. No weight gainers at bedtime.

At five weeks in I wouldn't read to much into your lack of weight gain. It's fairly normal to see some results in the mirror but no corresponding weight gain. You may be burning fat, also. At first the small gain in muscle tissue may not be enough to outstrip the loss of weight in fat. And remember, muscles size is determined by more than just lean mass. They also contain water, glycogen, etc. Your cells may be volumizing.

A big breakfast sounds good and as far as the buying from GNC, I have no access to a credit card so thats out of the picture.

I also purchased some Mega Mens Vitamins, should I take them after breakfast? or when should I take them?

Do you have a checking account? (If not, you should!) Or do you know anyone with a checking account? If so, you can order online @ bodybuildiing.com. They take "online" checks. I'm sure other places do, too.

(And if you get/have a checking account, I'd suggest that you get a "check card" with that. You can use the card wherever credit cards are accepted.)

Default Sorry, Chinpiece

I just realized that you already mentioned that he may be burning fat, etc. and then I did it again. Sorry.

Eddie, take your vitamins of a full stomach - after breakfast is good. If it is a two or three tablet dose, then separate them. Don't take a multivitamin right before a workout.

Vitamin Shoppe has better selection and pricing, if you have one near you. Until you find a way to order online.

N-Large is basically whey protein concentrate, maltodextrin, and fructose. The fat comes from lechitin. This pretty much follows the line of most gainers. They're convenient if you can afford them, but you can easily make your own and save a bunch.

I'm sure I could open a checking account within the week. Once I have one up and running I'll need some help getting everything to work with ordering things and what not.

I was also wondering if anyone has tried the NO Xplode Creatine suppliment. Is it any good?

I was looking to select the main suppliments I plan on taking for a while. Right now I have...

-NLarge Weight Gainer
-Mega Mens Vitamins
-And thinking of switching from Trac to the NO Xplode
-Maybe another protein powder

Help me edit my list!
