Default need help puttin together a good stack

i've always cycled using creatine with whey protein, but now i'm ready to try something else. im not using creatine now, but i plan to in a few weeks and i'm trying to think what would stack good with it. ive been looking into amino acids and nox. can you stack those 2 together with creatine? also i was thinking about using muscle milk post workout and a regular whey for any other time during the day. what do yall think?

First, Yes you can stack amino acids and Nitric Oxide supplements with creatine. I personally dont take NO supplements because i think they're a little pricey..but if you wanna give it a try, go for it. Some NO supplements have energizers included in the formula, so it gives you a little extra boost pre-workout.

Amino Acids are a good thing to start taking, i personally take Xtend, but theres TONS of amino supplements you could take. Some are pills, some are powders.

And if you're going to take muscle milk, i wouldnt take it postworkout. Only because muscle milk is a casein blend, and casein protein is meant to be a slow absorbing protein. After you workout you want to get protein and nutrients into your bloodstream as FAST as possible. And with a slow absorbing protein like muscle milk, you'll miss that so called 'anabolic window' you get right after you train because the protein cant assimilate into the bloodstream fast enough. So muscle milk wouldnt be optimal for post-workout..but you could certainly take it at other times throughout the day if you so choose.

Hope i helped a little.

Muscle Milk is a blend of casein and whey, I think. Some kind of whey isolate would probably be best post workout. But the casein wouldn't be bad because it would have a time release effect..your body would still be craving nutrients much more even a few hours after a workout compared to before your workout. I think Muscle Milk would be a pretty good post workout shake. But........there are only 15 servings per container which makes it expensive. Do you think there is enough whey protein per serving to make it a good post workout shake?

It is a blend, and you're correct about your body needing nutrition even after your PWO shake. Which is why you should eat a good solid meal about 45-60 min after your training session. The shake should be taken as soon as possible after training.

Muscle milk could be used, but there are certainly some better postworkout blends with some quicker absorbing hydrolyzed protein, and a good amount of carbs. Some to look into (for whomever)

NO suppliments are a waste of money, if you want a "pump" for whatever reason, do high rep work. Or use citruline malate in bulk powder form, it has NO boosting properties, but it actually helps with muscle endurance.

As far as protien is concerned, you could drive yourself crazy with all the different mixes, and types and shit. Just get some ON 100% whey, and some bulk matlodextrin and dextrose for carbs ... cheap and effective post workout nutrition.
