Default New to this kinda supp, need help!

Hey everyone, Im new around so Id like to start off by giving you my current stats

Im 24 year old male, Im about 5'9 and weigh right around 138lbs. Ive been lifting for at least 6 years but havent really seen any change until recently. I did plenty of research and eventually found out if i wanted to gain size and weight I needed to eat much much more. I since have done so however Im not putting on size like I want to. Having lifted for years so far and never really seeing any real gains I decided recently to try a supplement called Halodrol. Now again i've done some research on this stuff and heard some conflicting reports. Some say it works others say it doesn't. At any rate I figured Id give it a try, this is the new stuff by the way, not the old. I heard there was a MAJOR diffrence. Anyway my question is this...... After cycling this for 30 days so I need to take something like Novedex afterwards??? Should I take something else??? Should i stop this stuff all together?? Im wide open for suggestions.

what's your routine look like....and throw out your diet as well....lifting for six years with nothing to show means something is wrong i'm betting it's one, two....or both

You mentioned no results until recently. What do you mean by results? Are you trying to gain strength or mass? And does that mean that over 6 years you haven't gained any mass or strength?

If you haven't seen any results anyway, then adding in supplements won't do shit. Try getting your diet and everything straight before adding in a bunch of supps. Results = 90% diet + 20% training + 2% supplements. That Halodrol is mostly just DHEA. And it's sold at GNC, so I seriously doubt you'll need to run any PCT. I wouldn't bother if with running a PCT I were you. The stuff isn't very androgenic. You did waste your money though...would have been much better spent on protein/food.

When I mean I only saw results recently I ment I put about 15lbs on in the last year. My strength has gone up some as well but I still look the same. When I say i look the same I mean.......Im no longer as skinny as I was and my chest, arms, legs ect are bigger but just that.....bigger. Their not growing how Id like to see them grow and I lack definition.

As far as my routin and diet goes Ill admit, I may be doing this a bit half assed. Due to what I do for a living I work 12 or 16 hour shifts, that leaves little time to make it to the gym and stilll have a life but I normally work out like this

Monday- chest, flat bench, decline
Tris, Scull crushers, rope pull downs, dips
Wendsday- Shoulders, military press,
Legs, Squats, Leg exstentions
Lats, Pull downs with the big bar
Friday- Chest again
Abs, sit ups
Biceps, Preacher, Straight bar, hammer

All other days not mentioned are off days. I know this isnt the best work out but its the best I can do at the time with the job, new house, baby ect. As for my diet I eat anything I come across, burgers, TV dinners, Diner food whatever. I dont so much check to see exactly what it is as far as nutition goes I just try to eat to get calories. I do take a protien shake in the AM and when I come home so thats worth about 50g of protien, plus Ive been tryin to make chicken and eat a serving or two of that a day....

There ya go guys. Like i said its not the best but its what I can do and better then nothing, be kind haha. As I said before any suggestions on what I should be doing differently would be appreciated. And thanks for the answer to my question about the Novedex......I kinda thought I was wasting money... Oo well

I should mention, this routine and diet differs from last year. Last year I wasn't really working much lower body (not that Im doing great this year) and I ddnt eat at all......Im eating much more and even tho alot of its junk I havent really gained any fat. But eating more is why I gained the weight.

If you eat the same number of calories, but change your macro nutrient breakdown, then you'll put on some muscle...assuming your calories are high enough already. It's all about the protein. You need lots of other calories too, but you won't grow without the protein. Make sure you have protein at EVERY MEAL.

Here is a little inspiration for you: Everyone else on this forum has to put up with the same stuff and make the same sacrifices. I go from 9:00am till 9:00pm with only a 30 minute break lots of days, but my diet is still decent. Think ahead. Cook the 2-3 meals that you'll eat at work the night before..or the morning before. Or bring stuff with you that you can eat without cooking.

Have you read the "How to bulk" sticky in the nutrition forum yet? Read it. You might consider keeping your diet more static. I'm not impressed with the workout routine either...you're neglecting your back and your legs. Have you thought about switching to a proven program such as Rippetoe's Starting Strength? It's three days a week and you'll have better results than with the routine you posted.

halodrol is not a suppliment, its a steroid. I would suggest doing a lot more research.

Halodrol Liquigels...sold at GNC. That's the one he was referring to by the "new one".

On a side note, there was a guy that came into work the other day telling me about a cool side effect free supplement that he had been taking since January. It's called Mdrol. I told him to walk over to the department store at the end of the mall and buy a bra...or do some research/PCT because he was going to grow some tits otherwise.

I think it's a little more than a supp. Who knows what GNC's pushing
