if u didn't know the PUMP is used to get more blood into the muscles
workout+good PUMP+good nutrition = stud........ but yeah I don't think I ever stopped taking creatine in high school so kido tell your mom to cut the cord, give u some cash and wait in the car....
Both of those guys know a lot more than you or I on the subject, so I wouldn't argue too much. I've heard the same thing that you just talked about & I've done a lot of research on it also. In fact, I started a thread on the subject of "the pump" that you should read. I'll dig it up when I have more time.

EDIT: AND....Pity posted it before I even finished typing my post. Crafty bastard...

Shawn, I agree with your "give it a try" attitude, and your willingness to share your experiences. So I'll share mine as well.

I, like so many others, tried many different "pump" products when they first came out. I saw little to no results in terms of strength or size, unless i included citruline malate (which gave me more of a strength endurance boost then anything). The problem then became, as I stated earlier, that I would get a pump, then cramp up, and I could barely hold on to the bar, DLs became unbearable, as did many other movements.

The one thing I did find "Pump" suppliments useful for was when dieting hard. I'm a fan of keto diets, and if you have ever done one, you know that your body feels flat after a few weeks without carbs. Citruline and arginine were very good at curbing that feeling, and that made me mentally stay on track, and not fall into the "I need to bulk to save my strenght" mentality.

I would also caution the use of too much arginine, as it caused me horrible mouth sores.

Monsta, with your strength I dont think you even need to know about creatine or "pump" products dude.

i know. i just felt left out

on the real though supplements just confuse me. yesterday i wen tot the gym to try out a few things and test the ankle and this dude who i see there pretty often was telling me about this thing i should try. and when he was talking all i could hear was blah, blah, blah, blah lol. i did get the part when he said it gives you an insulin spike and helps you absorb protein and somethign else faster.

it just amazes me how in depth this stuff can get and i have absolutely no clue about any of it lol. so after i was reading the thread i was like damn i need to catch up just a little bit

I have actually typed several responses to this, and upon reading them all I have deleted each and every one based on the "if you have nothing nice to say" rule.

What I will say is that you have a good attitude. You believe it is working, and there is a lot to be admired in such faith in one's own efforts. Other than that I have little to say in response. To each his own.

You can know every damn thing about aerodynamics and the perfect conditions to run the fastest race possible, down to the lifting effects of hot air rising off of dark surfaces and gravitational pull relative to your elevation above sea level and frictional forces based on the type of fabric you are wearing and... in the end all of that knowledge will amount to what, if you aren't training, eating and sleeping.

Like any hobby, you can make it as simple or complex as you desire, but thinking it HAS to be comlex to work is simply not true. Some of the most amazing physical feats were done in a time where people didn't know about conjugated training, or supplements, or even "the pump." Not that these things are bad, but it should make you wonder how necessary they are, or if we are complicating things just to look for a miracle (you know, the idea that we can lift for five minutes, eat whatever we want, pop a pill and everyone looks like Arnold).

I would say your way better off monsta. The amount of time and energy i've spent learning about this suppliment or that one just to have them turn out to be bullshit is ridiculous. i will say I had fun doing it, but the suppliments that didnt let me down i can count on one hand.
