i would use just a scoop of protien for my pre workout shake. if your interested in using creatine make sure u incorperate dextrose and maltose. so you can get a shake with plenty of sugar and carbs which will help out with comsuming the creatine.

My post workout shake used to be just 3 scoops of designer whey. I started using 2 scoops of Nlarge and 1 scoop of protein about two months ago, after 311 beat me in to it. So far, I cant complain, little bit of fat gain, but its also due to my eating habits.

your pre and post workout shakes should be specific to your diet and your goals.

that being said if your looking for suggestions on brands of protien i really like designer whey, and recently i've used substance WPI.

the wpi doesnt mix so well, but it tastes awesome, watermellon is the shizzle.
