Default Primal EAA Testing Log

Primal EAA Information

Hey fellas, I just got in from a week's vacation so I haven't had time to start this, nor test it save for today.

Got back on Monday from vacation and saw my package on my doorstep. Inside Primaforce was kind enough to additionally provide me another "Cut Diet" book. Awesome info in that book BTW.

I'm currently a product tester for their EAA product. Primaforce has always been one of the only supplement companies I use because they always have very low prices (compared to most others) and the quality is excellent. I've used their Creaform a hundred times and am always very impressed with the quality, especially since it's among the cheapest. My attention in regards to this EAA product rests with increased strength, recovery, and stamina. While I am doing powerlifting, there is still a lot of hypertrophy involved which will go a long way to measure this product's effects on muscle gaining.

My diet is/was/always will be very good. I take in give or take 350-400 grams of protein per day, plenty of healthy carbs and fats, and a ton of steamed broccoli. I'm always sitting around 250-255 lbs. I've been on the same protocol in regards to pre-post nutrition for a while now, so IMO my results should be easier to measure since the only thing changing is the addition of 3 scoops EAA's PREworkout.

In the past I have used Scivation's Xtend, BN's BCAA's, and Bio Core BCAA's. I can say that after my first serving of Primal EAA, it already beat out both BN's and Bio Core's BCAA's in both taste AND mixability. With most BCAA's that I've tried, there has always been the problem of some of the product "foaming" at the top of my shaker. Not with this product. I put three scoops into my bottle and after a few shakes, it was completely mixed. Tasted great too since I'm a fan of lemonade.

Monday's workout was ME Squat/Deadlift. Drank my 3 scoops by the time I stepped in the gym. I had some very good energy throughout the workout. I didn't feel as gassed as I normally do, especially after ME Squats. Great stamina for the day. Today (Tuesday) I'm still slightly sore, but I think it's a lot less than usual, especially since I missed last week's DE Squat workout, so it's been a full week between leg sessions.

On Wednesday I'll be looking for much the same. Increased energy/stamina.

Wednesday = DE Bench day. Awesome workout, tons of energy.

Used 3 scoops preworkout as I was walking into the gym. Maintained high energy levels throughout every set. Very impressed thus far. Usually, I'm really feeling gassed after 2/3 of my workout. This stuff keeps me going till the end, which is what I have been looking for in a supplement for a long time!!

For the actual workout, I hit a new PR for standing push presses at 255 x 1 (+10 from previous). No belt/wraps required FYI. Usually DE Bench days have more volume than my ME does. Today was definately a good guage as to the effectiveness IMO of this product taken preworkout. I do a lot of back on this day, and I was able to cut my rest time which is a plus since I want to get the heck out and take a shower.

The label says to take a single scoop (one serving) preworkout, one during, and one following. I'm not sure if I want to try that since taking 3 scoops as I walk into the gym has proven highly beneficial for me thus far. I know it's only been two days so far, but my opinion at this time is that I'm most likely going to keep buying it since it DOES last for a long time. It's really the only product that keeps me really energized (minimal fatigue) for the full duration of my workout. The real test is coming on Sunday, ME Bench day. Every time I do my JS Rows on that day, they completely drain me to the point of death.

Tomorrow is DE Squat/Deadlift day. I plan on working my DE Squat up to a new 1 RM. DE Squats are on a box that's 1" below parallel for me. Till then!

Hey guys, I've been very ill for a few days so updates haven't been an option.

Again, took 3.5 scoops PREworkout and had terrific energy throughout the workout. I've actually noticed that I take LONGER in the gym than before because I don't try and rush through before my energy disipates. DE box squats I did all the required warmups before hitting 395 x 1 (new PR). Box set me 1" below parallel. Only wore a belt.

I also took the usual 3.5 scoops before ME Bench day. Hit 315 x 1 Incline Barbell press. Felt fantastic even though this was the day I started really feeling sick. Basically just a 9/10 severe headache, blurred vision, ect. Scared to death it was meningitis (again), which I'm not about to suffer through again!

Anyways, JS Rows on ME Bench day was my test on the effectiveness of this product. Reason being, every single time after I do them, usually 3 x 8, I feel like death warmed over. That being said, I'm extremely happy to report that I blasted through them and didn't feel like dying. That's all I needed to see!

So far after about a week and a half, I'm very impressed with this SUBTLE supplement. It doesn't give you energy like a caffiene pill or anything, just a very good sustainable energy release that lasts me through some gruelling workouts. It IS a lot of coin, but it lasts forever IMO.. In the future, I'm compelled to continue purchasing this supplement because I feel perfect from the moment I walk into the gym until I leave. This was the missing link for me, as all my past workouts left me dry heaving in the parking lot. No longer the case.

I haven't taken any measurements to include weighing myself, so I'll knock that out on my DE Bench day.

DE Bench day. Probably my longest day in regards to the volume. I took 4 scoops preworkout. Fantastic strength levels from beginning to end. I didn't lose one ounce of steam at any point. I wasn't lifting to failure for any supplemental lifts. Since I started using this product, my rest time between sets HAS gone done quite a bit. I also don't feel excessively tired or run down towards the very end of my workout.

Again, so far I'm quite impressed with the energy levels this product has. The price IS steep, especially for me, but at this point I'm certain that I will find a way to continue purchasing this product.

My biggest downfall IMO is my work schedule. In most cases I have to wake up and lift after 5 hours of sleep. For the most part I work a 12 hour night shift. After lifting, I usually feel sluggish and a little nauseous. The last product I was fortunate enough to test was Pure Vitargo. I was impressed with how fast it rebounded me off of those symptoms after lifting. The Primal EAA's do a different job for me. They prevent those symptoms after the gym altogether so I come home feeling good and pumped.

Hats off to this product.

Final Review

I loved this product. I mix mine with waxy maize starch preworkout and it's been super. Every workout I felt a steady stream of energy throughout.

Since I've started taking 3 scoops preworkout (4 times a week), I've gained a total of 7 pounds. I think it's been 5 or 6 weeks since I started. The science is there to back it up, and I trust the company.

It certainly DOES hit the wallet at $50 a tub, but it really lasts a very long time! I still have some left to finish out the week ahead. So if you can afford making the purchase, your money goes a long, long way.

Very impressed. Gained some muscle mass, maintained a high level of energy for my demanding routine, and it mixes very easily. A hundred times better than regular BCAA's I used to buy in bulk, that's for sure!

Props to Primaforce for giving me the opportunity to test this product. Definately does what it is expected to do!
