Protein Shake Advice Needed
Hey all, just wanting to know what else, if i can, add to a protein drink. At the moment its just the powder, milk and choc syrup (for flavour). Is at all possible to crack a couple of eggs with it to help up the protein? Or anything else i can add?
Also i obtained an e-book online that instructed how much calories i'd need in order to gain weight. After calculating, it said i'd roughly need 5000 calories a day :o Is this right for someone thats 165 pounds and fairly active? Ive got a high metabolism and its quite annoyin, especially bein 6'5". Cheers.

if your trying to gain, add some fruit, some whole oats, extra dextrose, or just add another scoop of protien and more milk. It all depends on what you are trying to add (high gi carbs, low gi carbs, protien?)

Based on a quick number game, the below is you (not sure of age) 5000 is a lot, Extra active is, extremely active. Id say Im moderately active. I have a desk job, my only activities include lifting, some cardio, and whatever happens on the weekend.

For extra cals, fats are 9cal per gram, so adding some sort of oil would be good sometime during the day. Nuts are good as a snack.
For the shake, if you want more, add in more protein, Id reather eat eggs seperate. Better yet, drink your post workout drink, and have a pro carb meal 1-2 hrs later.

Cheers for the info guys. You actually got the age right joey tho the height is a bit less, but anyway i would probs come under the very active category then seeing as i work in a constant moving/lifting role at work and play footy (aussie version) on the weekend. I was thinking that 5k in calories was a bit much, so 4k i should aim for then.
Main goal is to bulk up alot, so i'll look at adding those foods with the drink, but wouldnt the oil and milk not blend well? Worth a try i guess.

peanut butter and bananas, when i was bulking i would drink this monstrousity of a shake in the morning (it literally filled the entire blender). joker was milk, protein powder, gobbs of PB, bananas, oatmeal, chocolate syrup for flavor, etc... i calculated the cals on it onetime and it was an EASY 2000+ in that shake alone. granted i'd be full for about 4 hrs, but when i was doing that was when i was at my biggest

I have EAS Creatin Plus strength series. It has 34g of carbs, 5.25g of creatin monohydrate and 1g of Taurine what ever that is. Also I take EAS Premium Protein Whey which has 20g of protein and 4.5g of carbs/scoop. Is this o.k. or not.

Why are you double posting that? I answered your question in the other topic you posted with the same question.
