I take it, verb, that that means after you ran out you switched back to another post workout plan and you are comparing the two. It would be useless to compare it to nothing afterall! But you have to compare things to similar products if you know what I mean. In other words carbohydrates to other carbohydrates.

The most obvious thing to compare it to has got to be dextrose and/or malto. Certainly not some magic designer post workout stuff. Is that what you do? Is that what you did before? Now I am getting the definite feeling that the vitargo is superior in terms of comfort along with ease of digestion. But for it to be "worth the coin" for a lot of people on limited budgets, it has to be significantly better that dextrose/malto for whatever reason. The reason I ask is because you compared it to other "products".

SO?

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

Yeah man, I've used other forms of Wazy Maize Starch from TP which is basically the same thing, I've used Dextrose before. I like this one better, its definatly better than Dextrose, and the other forms of wazy maize I've tried didn't taste nearly as good. As far as direct comparison to the other types of waxy maize I've tried, I feel its equal as far as its effects. The reason I prefer Vitargo over just regular Waxy Maize is for the amazing taste, and I've never really experienced any Digestion problems with any post workout carbohydrate shake so I really can't give you my input as far as this.

If your question is, is to worth the cash for this product over other products that can give you similar results? I would say that really depends on how much cash you are willing to spend on your products, personally I don't mind dropping a few extra dollars on a product if I'm positive thats what I want and it will help me a little bit better. Let's face it most of us here follow strict diets 24/7 that the average person would look at with horror, we follow training programs that most people wouldn't even be able to make it through a few weeks without missing a few workouts or quitting, we try to go into this sport 100%, why not drop a little more cash to use a product thats a little better?

Hope this answered your question

Eric, you bring up a very important point!! I'm going to post in my Vitargo journal to run a comparison so I won't steal Verb's!

No, I wouldn't expect there to be much difference between this and other wms products other than taste.

The point is that dextrose/malto cost pennies! And they work. They have always been the most cost effective, and in my mind most useful things you can buy. And there all high GI carbs, easily and quckly absorbed. That's a lot of competetion for a carb that is WAY more expensive. You keep saying other "products" but the only things that really matter are dex and malto (and 50/50 is better imo). Now there is a big difference in what I am willing to spend on what is basically a starch or a sugar vs. what I am willing to spend on something like creatine (assuming creatine wasn't so cheap!).

But, it sounds like Vitargo (wms in general) has some very definite advantages. But I already said enough in 0311's thread .
