Default Whey Protein Expiration

Hey can Whey Protein still be taken after the expiration date? It says 10/04. My brother didn't want it and there is alot left, I feel its a shame to let it all go to waste. Please respond if you might have an idea. If you aren't sure please dont confuse me even more, I dont want to get sick or it be useless. Thanks.

I don't think it's expired in a way to make you sick if you took it. It probably has just lost some of it's efectiveness, like medicine does over time.

Expired milk...now that's another story!

I made some and its pretty good, its powdery when dry but gets really clumpy in liquid. I might try it for a few more weeks and then dump it. Thanks for the advice.

If it's clumpy, try putting it into a blender with some milk and blend it for about 45 sec. Or, sometimes, I put a big scoop with 12-16 oz of milk into a shaker container and give it a really good rattling for about a minute. After the bubbles go down, it's perfect.

As a matter of fact, I'm gonna make one right now for my going to bed treat!

I actually shake vigously for 20.4 secs, with moderate shaking for 10.3 secs, hard shaking for 5.1 secs and vigorous for the last 9.2 secs.
