Is 2hours of intense cardio once a week way too much on top of Bill Stars 5x5?

Default Hey Chin...

I just read your journal today; and you got me considering dropping the 5x5 on Wed to compensate for the extra MMA workload. Great journal by the way... I'm sure I'll read it a couple more times... and continue to follow it.

Great link you gave me.... I've read some so far... but I intend on reading it more in depth this week... GREAT INFO!

I've definitely decided to get back into mma now vs later... I'm just trying to find a balance so I can get my strength up and loose 50 pounds of fat.

Thanks.
Yeah, It is hard and I'm finding it harder to keep the "big 3" up while staying in a good weight range to compete and not burn out. I'm still trying to find the balance. There is a balance that can be obtained but you just can't always follow a "strict program" and you HAVE to lissen to your body, some days, after a night of heavy training I just can't workout in the morning with heavy weights and just run or do light kettlebell work. I find that you can only use concepts of those programs and piece things together to build/ maintain on your strengths and bring up the weak parts.
I also recommend reading all the MMA stickies to help on developing workouts and staying on goals.
Good luck and let us know if you have anymore questions.
