5x5 is a good routine. I currently am doing a 5x5 routine. Steady gains in all areas except bench which seems to be slowing down a little. Good luck with your workouts. Quick question for anyone this may have been answered before but like since school started up I like threw out some I guess miscellaneous knowledge. If you dont reach your goals on a workout say bench 5th set I could only get 4 reps should I redo that workout or keep on with the routine. Right now I would just try the same thing but on the next bench day and see if i can get all 5 sets w/ 5 reps.

Yes, you are correct. You should never jump up in weight until you hit every rep of every set. If you were to hypothetically jump up in weight some more without finishing your previous workout, then you'll probably see a further regress in your performance. Maybe you'd only hit 2 or 3 the next week.
