i believe that i have created a caloric defecit. I just redid my diet and i have cut out all bad sugars. ALso, i have upped my cardio from 4 days to six. I will either run or use an eliptical for roughly 40 min. per day.

Why? You have too much muscle mass? Because doing that much cardio will probably help you lose some of it. Just keep your calories the same and weigh yourself every day. If you start losing weight, then you have a deficit. If you gained, then you're still at a surplus. If it's the same, then drop the cals by about 300. It's good that you cut out the bad sugars. They make life difficult. How long have you been doing cardio 4 days/week?

EDIT: What are your stats and goals?
