Default Abs & Biceps

Okay guys, I would really like the help.
I’ve tried asking over at BB.com, but those guys want everyone to dig through months of garbage and yet they come up with some of the stupidest shit to post in reply to them. They’re pricks and not really wanting to see anyone succeed.

That’s why when I found the link to this place I jumped on it. From looking around the forums, you guys are about the only place I’ve seen that take other people serious, even if we are just starting out.

And that’s me.
I’m just now starting out.
About a week ago it was four in the morning and I was just sitting around trying to come up with something to do. There was a lot on my mind and it was driving me nuts. It just seemed like my head was cluttered with a bunch of bullshit and I had to get rid of it so I put on some shoes and I just went jogging. It felt good, and I decided I was going to start taking care of myself.

I’m a little skinny 18 year old. No bigger or louder than a fart.
I’m really just wanting to work on getting some abs and biceps so I took some pictures and thought I’d show you what I got. Err.. What I don’t have would describe that a whole lot better. =) So here’s some pictures:

I’d love to get some advice to help me out.

Do you wanna be big? or do you wanna just be fit? If you wanna be a big boy you should start eating like crazy. When i mean eating eat like 5 meals a day but clean try to have protein in every meal with fats and carbs. Your looking pretty lean right now and thats what i started out with. Long story short i gained like 20 pounds in about 4 months. If you want you can look around in journals and try to fallow one's journal. Main thing is to eat right stay away from junk but to keep your sane cheat once in a while.

How tall are you and how much do you weight?

Well, right now I'm just aiming to be fit.
As I've said, I'd like to get those abs showing and possibly pump up those biceps if I can. I wouldn't mind attempting to get big but I have no facility around here to go to for pumping serious iron and stuff, so I'm pretty much a person for cheap appliances from Wal-Mart, Target, etc.. I mean granted they don't do much, but surely they help some how.

As for eating, I'm afraid to eat. I'll end up getting fat and that's the last thing I want.

Well if you want abs you should do heavy resistant trainning. That'll give you bulky abs not those skinny guys that don't eat and their ribs pop out lol.

For eating don't be scared man, thats what i thought but when you eat you gotta eat clean. No junk food or fast food, tuna in cans, chicken breast no skin and little fat if none, eggs, multi grain breads, pasta, rice, natural peanut butter, 2% milk, low fat mayo. Look around in the nutrition forums there's alot of ideas on there that'll help you out. Give it sometime and look around you'll find a lot of useful tips on here and you'll get use to it.

Not meaning to annoy you or sound ignorant, but what's resistant training? Examples?

I'll have a look in that forum now.
I love 2% milk and eggs, so I guess that's a good thing.
Is there a certain way you should NOT prepare them?.. lol.

well eggs i crack 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs with yolk so 6 all together and take 3 slices of lean low sodium ham chop it up and throw it in a skillet i try to use pam rather then oil, two wheat toasts for breakfast, and a banana for breakfast. every meal i'll have a bottle of water.

Resistant trainning meaning weighted, hold a plate and do sit ups or DB's, woodchops and hanging leg raises are good. look em up if you don't understand youtube it and it'll show you a video.

I wouldn't worry about bigger arms and abs. What you should concentrate on is eating big and compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, flat bench, bb rows, etc.) I was exactly the same body type as you about 3 years ago. I made a routine that circled around compounds then 1 or 2 isolation lifts. Eat big and lift big and the pounds, ABS, and ARMs will follow suit.
