Imagining a grade 1 strain + working out with grade 1 strain = "doing dumb shit I dont need to be doin" jk

Give it some more time, because a grade 1 can turn into a 2 or 3 pretty quick if you don't recover enough.

If you want to know for sure you would have to go to a doctor, I do however agree that it is most likely a strain from the description. If it is a strain, your doctor is going to tell you exactly the same thing we told you: rest and avoid doing anything that agitates it. Strains are not a big deal and you can work around them.

Absolutely.

You misunderstood what I wrote in the sticky, btw. The purpose of that was to emphasis the importance of IMMEDIATE first aid. I meant if you hurt your arm, for instance, DURING a workout, you need to stop right away and begin first aid, immobilize the area, etc. To minimize further damage, bleeding, etc.

I didn't mean you could never work your legs if you had an upper body injury. It depends on what the injury is.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

ONDraft, you can do whatever doesn't hurt. You can do squats if the arm position doesn't hurt. Your body should lead you.

I agree with Eric and the others that you can still do some work without aggravating the arm injury such as legs. Good luck and heal up.
