Default Help a discouraged beginner!

Hey,

OK, so I’ve posted her before asking the same thing, a while back. I know that I need to MAJORLY burn fat and get into shape and build some muscle. I honestly have no clue where to begin with diet in terms of protein and calories (I’m 5’6 and weigh 140 lbs) At my disposal, I don’t have much equipment @ all- a Tony Little Gazelle (on which I’m doing 90 mins/day and seeing NO results) and dumbbells with adjustable weights up to 25 lbs. Right now, my measurements are

Waistline- 32 in

Upper Arm: 11 in(left) 11 in(right)

Upper Leg/Thigh:22 in(left) 23 in(right)

Calves: 15 in(left) 15 in(right)

And here are some profile/chest/back pics so you can visually see and give me advice on what muscles or what have you that I need to work on.

I appreciate any constructive critisicm you have but please don’t simply come and insult me, because after all I’m here to get help toning up and getting into better shape.

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Can you get a gym membership. But other than that you can try these exercises:

Pushups (do some normal, some wide-grip and some close-grip)
Crunches
Behind the back dips (use 1 or 2 chairs and put your feet up on something)
Pullups (go to a playground or one of those "fitness trails"--do they have those any more?--or find a tree or something)
Lunges

Well, the best method to start you off is a simple one. All you have to do is eat just like you always have, nothing different, for 1-2 days. During this time I want you to record every gram of protein, carbs, fats, and calories you eat in that day. It would help if you posted it here. Once you have that down, go to www.fitday.com and record the grams. Once you see exactly what you normally eat broken down by the gram, we can go from there. I really cannot comment further until I see your results. I could tell you exactly what you should be eating like every other board, but that won't be very realistic and the likelihood that you'll follow it would be dismal at best. I've found this way much better because it'll be more in tune to your eating habits. It's easier to tweek a few things here and there than to totally change everything upside down, you follow?

So, once you post your daily intake totals and what you ate here, then we can get down to brass tacks. Some members here are more knowledgable diet wise than I so maybe they can critique it as well. I will say that using a carb cuttoff is one of the most effective things you can do. All that means is absolutely no carbs outside of veggies past 4-5 pm. Just lean meats and veggies period.

You don't have a gym membership? If not that's ok. You look pretty young in the pics so maybe your school gym has a weight room?

What the hell is that?

Honestly, in looking at your pictures, you shouldn't worry so much about shaving off fat. I don't really see any love handles per say, just that you need to build muscle to fill in. After cleaning up your diet, (if it needs), you just need to start building muscle plain and simple. Once you start to build muscle, some of the fat you have (which ain't that much) will come off. You just need to get in shape. I know of alot of good programs and made some kick ass spreadsheets, but you'll need a gym or some access to weights.

Dude, you need to eat. Time to put on some muscle. Quit trying to lose fat. You really don't have any to lose. Do exactly what 0311 said and get back.
