In my opinion, it would be better to do the low intensity long duration cardio in the AM when you wake up, and the HIIT in the PM. I base my opinion on the premise that when you first wake up and run on an empty stomach, you're in a semi-depleted state. So when you're running for a long period of time, your body will [hopefully] mobilize some of your fat stores into your blood stream for energy. If I remember correctly, the UD2.0 said it switches on after around 30 minutes or something?
In the PM, a quick HIIT session is good because you've been eating all day, and your body won't be in a catabolic state like it is in the morning after fasting all night while sleeping.
Even if you don't believe in early morning cardio on an empty stomach, a long jog is perfect for when you wake up. It's not very taxing on your body, and your muscles have a lesser chance of pulling IMO.
