I thought he might have gone into it. Dave Tate compared "his" J line as being 16 inches as compared to 6 inches in a straight line. Pretty drastic and I don't know how the hell he measured it so accurately!
I'm sticking with what is natural for sure. Another point is that ACTUAL STUDIES do show the dangers to the shoulders with machines using fixed ranges of motion such as a smith. So how can someone logically turn around and say a fixed range of motion is better for your shoulders?
