Exclamation Eating......

Im trying to take in alot more calories than I am now. I probably take in an average of 3000 calories a day on workout days, on non workout days I dont eat much fro some reason... probably because im not being active. But I want to take in about 5000. It seems hard to really stuff my face with extra food though.. I saw Controlled Labs came out with Black Hole, which just tells your brain that instead of having enough calories, that your body needs more. Id rather not have to go the route of that supplement but if I have to I will. Any advice to take in more calories besides protein shakes and shit like that would be appreciated.

How come you don't want to go the shake route? It's a great way to achive what your looking for.

If you don't want to drink your extra calories, if you can't seem to eat more, try eating different, higher calorie foods. Not saying junk food, but eat white rice instead of brown. white bread vs wheat, baked potato vs sweet etc...

That way you get the extra calories without eating more. If you keep your portions in check, you shouldn't gain that much fat either.

Why do you want to take in 5000 calories a day, not nessisarily all of that would go towards muscle growth. Your body can only put on so much so fast, at a certaint point those extra calories will just because fat

Whoa buddy...jumping up 2000 cals at a time is quite a bit. How tall/weight/bodyfat are you now? If your trying to pack on lean mass, it would prolly be better to jump up about 250 cal at a time. That way you could track your progress. If its not enough go up another 250 and track that for a week or two. Keep goin up if you arent hitting your goals. If your gaining more fat than muscle, back it off by about 100 or so.

I agree with Scorcher, jumping up 2000 cals is a big jump. If you do it over time it's not so bad. Anyways I was having the same sort of problem. One thing that I did was I added a cup of mixed nuts to my diet. I think it's about an extra 900 cals or so. also has good source of protein and fats. You might want to keep them salt free.
Yogurt, cottage cheese, 2 % milk (some say whole milk), these are all high is calories and protein aswell.
Just write everything down and see what you come up with

Im keepin track of everything Ive ate so far today-

I just now realized that I easily take in over 3000 calories a day- considering I drink 2 protein shakes, 1300 cal each, so thats 2600 there. But none the less.... on some foods it doesnt have nutrition facts(like eating at max and ermas) ect. so therefor how do you assume how many calories it has?

I think that's just a supplement index, TALO.

Try this:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

And:
