Default Enough rest between sets?

I’m currently doing 30 min personal training sessions 3 times a week, lifting heavy in an effort to bulk. To squeeze all sets and reps in, I typically have less than 1 min rest between sets, and often feel fatigued and rushed. Can these short breaks between sets be hampering my growth? I’ve heard when lifting heavy 2-3 mins rest between sets is ideal.
