Default Rowing machine?

Has anyone ever used one of those rowing machines? I hear they work great. But I am a bit scepticle.

Row are excellent from developing a back. T bars and bent over rows are a must for back day.

Rows are an absolute must for a powerful back. T-bar, seated, bent-over.....(all of them)
