Hey everybody. I found about this site from after looking at some articles, and it looked pretty legit so I thought I'd check it out. Here's a little background on myself: I began lifting at the age of 13 for football. After I turned 14, I began to mess around with my own crappy programs (hundereds of reps per workout. It was terrible). At 15, I finally got on Derek Charlebois' Intermediate bodybuilding program for about 4 month. After that I did about 8 months of Rippetoe's Starting Strength and 5x5. I gained a large amount of weight and strengh during that time, increasing my total to about 800 from 500, and gaining 30 pounds. My main interest is bodybuilding, rather than powerlifting now though. My current long term goal is to win a Mr. Universe competition by age 24. I will do whatever it takes to get there. My short term goal is to gain 15 pounds by this time next year, and possibly cut down for a physique contest at my school if I decide to enter. I'm extremely dedicated to training and will spend 45 minutes to an hour and a half on each workout. Just today I started a 3500 calorie diet, so I am currently on a bulk.
