Default Gaining muscle while losing fat?

Is it possible to consistently gain muscle while burning fat? I'm trying to gain as many pounds as I can before August 1st, but want to gain as little fat as possible.

Right now I'm 5'11", ~160lbs, ~10% body fat (educated guess...some definition is there, but I know there's a small layer of fat there covering it)

My ultimate goal would be (in ~90 days) to reach 175lbs, ~8% body fat.

Based on what I've seen that's barely possible, or at least very difficult. If I'm a medium gainer, what steps should I take?

I know a fair bit about nutrition (just finished a Nutrition course for a biology credit) and what I need food-wise to gain weight, and I've recently switched up my workouts to be alot more basic (more complex exercises, less isolation). My main issue is keeping my body fat % as low as possible.

So essentially: How much cardio is ok to do without really hindering the growth of muscle mass? I plan on doing swimming, jump rope, and running. Also, should I increase or decrease the frequency of my lifting days (currently at 3 a week)?

Thanks for any tips!

Yes it's possible. I is a slower progress because it's done with moderate carbs.

If your truely at 10% bodyfat - Then don't worry about anything just EAT. Workout hard and eat everything you can.
