Default Advice for good workout program.

I have been working out at the gym for about 10 months now. The last 3 of which i have been going about everyday sometimes including weekends. I was not aware too much about resting muscles and overworking my muscles and i worked out every muscle every day (bad i know). I have still put on some muscle and gained strength in this time. I have been looking on the forums for a good program but i am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a workout program. I would like a 5 day work out program that is more focused on gaining strength because id imagine that with strength the size will come. If anyone has any suggestions for a workout program it will be greatly appreciated. I was working on making my own but i think it would be better to look for one that has been created by someone who has more experience than me. Thanks all.

If you want to gain strength, then I imagine you'll be lifting heavy. And since you're a novice lifter, lifting 5 days a week isn't the greatest idea. Check out Rippetoe's SS.

Go buy Starting Strength

Read it and come back.

We'll help modify the program.
