sounds good, I dont mean to make it seem like your doing all my research for me, far from it. And your right, most of the time it should be pretty much instinct. but for somethings you need to go against your instinct ... ie depleation workouts.

I don't really get into all of that so I wouldn't know.

i always liked 3 minutes or more of rest on rippetoes :)

Cradler 06-04-2008 01:31 PM

^^Yeah, I didn't say it before because I didn't know if it was "right" or not but sometimes on SS I'd take 4-5 min. between sets. Shit wore me out.

Cradler, dont ever worry about being "right" on here, its only the internet, if its not "right" someone will correct it, as we see here in this glaring example of my ignorance on the subject of rest intervals.

Haha I'm not worried about being right or not in general... I've gotten used to being wrong :) But since I was semi-giving advice to the OP I figured I would stick with what I thought was the consensus. Turns out I should have gone with the honest answer haha. But I will keep that in mind hrdgain!

That makes much more sense now eric. And I took your comment about "arguing" wrong. I tend to think in terms of "me" and not "everyone" with this stuff, and I need to get out of that habit. Just because I've never really taken more then 2min rest intervals, doesnt mean others shouldn't, that was shortsited of me.

2 mins is good enough for me also.
