Default Haven't trained for years HELP!

Hi Guy's, new to the forums here and would like to take the opportunity in saying hello and thanking the mods for letting me on here Cheer's.

Anyways just got really tired of being unhealthily and a right couch potatoe,so decided to get into some lifting .Also plenty of walking and a small amount of running and most importantly a good balanced diet.

So i've purchased a lot of olympic weight gear and have started working out from my house like training separate muscle groups on dif days for 3 times a week, what is a good routine that would suit me best? Say like chest& tri's day 1 and Arms Shoulders day 3,legs and abs day 5 .in-between that i go running , i'm not looking to build serious muscle just tighten up improve my health and strength.

Pretty much know how to correctly execute each excercise but i havent a clue about sets &reps .Anyone point me in the right dirrection with a good effective routine because i have been inthe wilderness for far too long now.

Many Thanks
Russ
