Verb, you need to get rid of that encyclopedia. It's geared for chemically enhanced weightlifters. What you should be doing is taking bits and pieces out of it and formulate your own opinions. Trust me, I did his advanced routine and almost ripped a triceps muscle.

Stay away from heavy upright rows. Instead, superset them with shrugs for a good burn. Upright rows will kill your rotators. Just do a heavy set of shrugs, then immediately do a set of 8 upright rows. Pick a light weight, and focus on the negative portion.

Thanks. I only did heavy uprights a couple of times and didn't like them, so I was planning on doing just the regular uprights.
