Default How do you know if you tore your rotator cuff?

Hey guys,
I am a 37 year old male. I play baseball in a mens league as well as work out. About 6 months ago I played ball on a sunday and after the game I felt my shoulder and neck hurting. I went home showered grubbed and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning I was laying in bed and I was stretching, I felt a slight tug between my neck and shoulder as I was midway through the stretch whatever grabbed between the neck and shoulder (pinched nerve I think) and completely paralized me for like 2 minutes. The pain was excrushiating. After a couple minutes I felt a small pop and then the pain started to subside and I could move again. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle cuz a large knott appeared between the neck and shoulder just above the top inside part of my shoulderblade. Well like I said its been about 6 months and the knott is still there it hurts me to raise my arm over my head and I cant sleep on that side and if I turn to far right to look I get alot of pain also. I was wondering if anything like this has ever happend to anyone?
