starting up a home gym
Hey guys,
Been on this forum for a while but not very active, altough I managed to look a most threads that is of interest. Bought a house lately and been looking at setting up a home gym. bench, rack and olympic weight set. I'm currently in PEI, Canada. I saw this on kijiji:

I think the price is too high. Its could be retailed at that price (before shipping and taxes). I was wondering if any of you had some input on this or prior experience with buying used/new weight set for a home gym. Thanks for the feedback

If I were you, I would get a power rack, an adjustable bench, and as many weights as you need.
You should be able to find most of this used. There are some stores in the Charlotte, NC area that have used weight equipment for sale. I assume the same is true where you're at.

this don't seem to bad priced, in your area
http://charlotte.craigslist.org/spo/902969418.html
I would just keep looking on thier site.
I have a rack, bench and maybe about 600-700+ lbs 2 oly bars and an easy curl bar...all bought seperate, used for under $300 for all.
also picked up a nice recumbant bike from some lady at a garage sale that was hardly used (by the looks of her) for $80. at sears same bile was going for for $340 or so.
if your looking used, you will get alot more bang for your buck

Looked around Atlantic canada and found this in Moncton,NB
http://moncton.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAd?AdId=74308190
Its only a 2hours drive. I'm thinking that if I buy this, I would ask my friend to weld something has a spotter.
Could it be the next best thing next to a power rack. It might not be the exact same, but its a start
As for craigslist in Canada, not much stuff around here.
Thanks for the help everyone!

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just add to this one.
So I've been waiting for good deals, and I think I've found a good one:

Let me know what you guys think.
I believe that its a perfect fit for my lonely basement.
