But it's a bad idea to try to plan training by the appearance or lack of growth, if that is what you're getting at.

I no I havent logged in last 2 weeks, but not going in that direction at all.

I sometimes forget we are all made differant, and what works for one dosent mean it will work for another

Yeah, for sure. But I can't think of a reason, for healthy trainees, why it would be advantageous for an untrained person to ever intentionally use the same weight for two whole months if he or she wants growth. You will either understimulate or overstimulate but the same weight guy is much more likely to understimulate than the increased weight guy is to overstimulate. No doubt about it, in my mind.

An untrained person, though, who just increases reps and sets, etc. can get some growth from that up to a point. It seems to me that some people think that increasing load is the only way to stimulate growth. Or at least they think that anything other than increasing load has little use except for conditioning. And that is just not true. Load is just one variable among many.

Just got in from the bar. Not sure if this relates, but there is a guy that I have seen working out at the gym. And other people have mentioned him too...he is extremely vascular. Huge calves, big back...gear is an integral part of his workout/nutrition/supplementation. He is the goofiest guy that I have ever seen in my life. I saw him doing sets of 20 reps with 35lbs on skull crushers....just someone with no idea as to what he's doing while working out. I suppose I'm drunk and that's funny...but then again, it was even funnier when I was sober. :biglaugh: I hope I see him on Monday doing sets of +20 with 115lbs. :) BTW, he has been working out for a long time...........
