Great idea. Thanks.
Ok so OVT is based on the principle of TUT and Volume combined together. It is like GVT and yet not.
Well, I found that while it helped me gain a lot of mass, a lot of that added mass was Sacroplasmic Hypertrophy.
However, I was very new to this sport at the time and I made several mistakes which if I had corrected I would've done much better on the program. But these points can be applied to other programs as well.
1.) Diet is key. I did this program on a shitty diet. Guess what? I got mediocre results. IF I had done this program on a good diet I would've had great results.
2.) Exercise selection. Not everything CT writes is applicable to everyone. Certain things have to be tweaked.
3.) Progression is hard. So you need to think of other ways to progress instead of just adding weight every 4-5 weeks. You might want to reduce rest periods gradually therefore increasing the "density" of the training.
Thats all I can think of right now.
I guess I have to say why I think it sucks now. It sucks now (for me) because I am not a bodybuilder. I want to increase my work capacity and my strength. This routine will not help me with those two things. IT will however help with looking good.
I hope this helps you a little atleast.
