This will all depend on your experience. Many noobs will see significant strength/mass gains, at the same time they loose fat. there is a point at which you will no longer be able to do that though, your body will adjust, and you will need to eat more to keep the gains going.
post up your stats, how long you've been at this, and your diet and we should be able to get you going in the right direction.
