Default cardio every workout?

i am trying to limit my weightlifting to one hour per day with about four on one off: chest/triceps, back, legs, shoulders/biceps; however, i do 15-20 mins after lifting on the treadmill at 7.0mph; i like to do the cardio every day to relax, relieve stress, help w/ sleep, etc. but i'm worried it may be detrimental to the lifting; also, i have been skipping legs because its tough to do cardio after legs; thoughts

Read the article I posted entitled: "Squatting for big arms" That should at least point you in the direction that your body responds to heavy poundages from deadlifts, squatting, ect. Your body WILL grow like a weed if you include legs. It's waay more important than cardio. Shit, I squat three times a week and my size reflects that.

NO, just depends on your program. 80% of anyone lifting will be the first to say, "If you squat more than once a week, you aren't doing it heavy enough!" That's a crock of shit. Those same fools load up 405 on the bar and do quarter squats! I'm doing Bill Star's 5x5 using Madcow1's variation. Now...I do believe it IS impossible to do squats 3 times a week with the same heavy weight (ass to the grass). So what I do is: This is the way I begin every workout, not including the rest of what I do...
Monday: 5x5 olympic squats (same weight each set <heavy>)
Wednesday: 5x5 olympic squats (same weight each set <reduced 20% from Monday>)
Friday: 5x5 olympic squats (Pyramiding up. example- 185x5, 205x5, 225x5, ect)

This way I don't burn out. I'm actually going to make a thread about this for people to try.

Default doing squats seems like a good replacement...

for cardio anyway since it really gets you winded and sweaty; i am assuming you are talking about squats w/ a barbell (rather than the seated or standing machines) since it works the upperbody in that you have to keep the weight balanced;

however, deadlifts are a lower back strain waiting to happen for me (guess that's form but i can't seem to get it right); anyone have suggestions about an alternitive for deadlifts that are safer? how about a "deadlift" using two dumbells so i don't get bent over?
