Default Trying something new

I read up that switchin the game up a bit and instead of doing 4-5 sets of 6-10 reps its a good idea to lower the weight a bit and go for a larger range of reps. The point would be to flood your muscles with nutrients... sounds good but would you make that your last set or would you randomly throw that in some where?
