Default Need some help with program to increase endurance

Ok. . . I think I could use a little advice here.

Ive been doing Ripp's starting strength program for about 6 weeks. Ive made great progress and reached personal bests in every exercise.

The problem is that I've notice decreased endurance and stamina in my legs and back during my hockey games. My legs burn out 1-2 mins on the ice and by the end of the game my back is shot.

I'm thinking that the 3x5 format while great for strength gains isnt the best for a hockey player.

Ive decided to increase the volume on squats and deads to 3x10 not sure if this is the best solution.

Any advice would be appreciated........
