here is a thread that hopper started a while back. click on the your tube link he posted and it has a really good amount of tutotial vids on everything you need to know about squats deads, and all that other good shit

my friend is actually into bodybuilding and much older than me, I think he knows wht he is doing a little. But I will make sure I am following you guys' suggestions.

Some of the posters had good tips... you need to ditch the isolated exercises and focus on the exercises that works large muscle groups. Also... I think you work out too much. You shouldn't workout more than 1 hour 3X a week.

Eat more. Are you drinking a pre-, during and after workout shakes?

good advice from start now. try not to get overwheleemed by the amount of information you want to know. im glad start now brought up nutrition. but i guess you can tackle that once you you start getting more of the basics together

Yea i have been inundated with info, but I'm starting rippetoe tmrw as a trial then im gonna go mon, wed, fri
as for these high calorie diets, 5 meals per day, and multiple protein shakes - is this only on workout days or everyday?
also, where should I mix in cardio,? because I need to lose some fat
