That's why I always do lat pulls after doing pull downs. I concentrate on the squeeze at the bottom of the rep...I bring the bar down very low and hold it for a second. I get my chin over the bar doing pull ups, but there are still a few inches of range that I have if I lose 20lbs or do pull downs.

Just don't hyperextend you neck, pity like you were doing in deadlifts . So don't reach for the pullup bar with the chin because you are thinking about getting the chin over the bar. Yes, I can see the future, haha. Try to keep a neutral neck.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
Pullups I do chin over the bar. Pullups I like to do chin over the bar but if you really want to hit them hard pull up to your chest. The first time I did those my lats were sore for days.

I reached for the bar with my chin one time and "tweaked" it a bit. Hurt like hell for a couple of days and now I do my best to keep a neutral neck. Be careful looking into the future Eric....there is a lot of scary shit out there
