No Cardio vs. Diet
Hey everyone,
Just wondering everyone's thoughts on cardio and if you do it weekly to burn fat, or just stick with a well-maintained diet in order to burn!
Everyone has their own opinions, just wondering what's yours!
Personally I don't do any ;)
Cheers.

I use it a lot during cutting and just do it to stay in cardio shape while bulking.

Bad joints so nothing for cardio at gym. However, I am tight on my diet. I do a lot of super setting and I recently got a bicycle for cruising the neighborhood.

I tend to stick with limiting rest between sets or using interval training when I'm wanting to get my heart rate up. Add that to a good diet and you'll see results. But fat loss ultimately comes down to diet.

I use cardio for the extra kick if I'm trying to cut down. Lately I've been bulking so no cardio for me ... although it's not a bad thing to do for just general health purposes.

It depends on what your goals are. If you are training for athletics (football, baseball, hockey, soccer, whatever) then you will need cardio training.
HIIT works best for most sports because it's the most realistic. Example: a play in a football game is 5-10 seconds of operating at 100% followed by 30 seconds-1 minute of rest. In addition, there is also research that suggests HIIT will help you burn the most calories over an extended period of time (it helps you burn more calories while at rest is the summary).
The physique you obtain from body building will do you no good if you can not bring it to bear for more than a short period.
Like the other guys said, if you're trying to bulk, cardio is counter productive; you're better off adding another set to your workouts. If you are trying to cut and operating at a caloric deficit, then cardio will help you achieve that goal.

Exactly. I, personally, need to loose a spare tire, so cardio is my friend & food is my enemy.
