I hit 265 x 1 on bench yesterday. My all time high. My previous was 225 lbs and thats when I was a young buck. :) I take that back...I hit 245 about 7 weeks ago. I've only been back in the gym for about 4 1/2 months but so far I'm happy. I hope to hit 300 by Christmas time.

295x4 A2G squats...pussy weight I know, but I've never done that before and its amazing that I achieved a PR especially since I'm dieting.

245x1 Flat bench....followed by 225x5 on floor press....Considering my 1RM for bench was 225 not too long ago... And this is only my trial loading week for DFHT!

All new, never thought I'd reach PR for arms.

Measurement taken on Thursday by our very own Lafittrainer..19.5", which is +.75 since I started powerlifting 5 weeks ago! :) The measurement was cold since I only did 3 warmups for box squatting. Another plus for powerlifting.

I tried to take a bodyfat test, but his machine kept fucking up..Probably cause my girth around the waist must've broke it. :D

EDIT: I'm only doing 3 x 10 of curls twice a week. In my opinion, my arms are growing more because of the heavy emphasis on back and triceps work from powerlifting. Just putting this edit out there so everyone knows that the fastest path to bigger arms isn't doing more curls.

Yeah, my first assumption was the triceps, actually.

I do 3 x 10 curls on Both ME and DE BENCH days.

What do you mean same exercises? Are you asking about curls? ME lifts get switched every 2 weeks. One week I do a 5 RM, next I do a 1 RM, then move on. For curls, I keep the same exercises each week. ME Bench day I do standing barbell curls for 3 x 10. DE bench I usually do incline curls for 3 x 10. All my supplemental exercises for the most part remain the same. Sometimes Matt has me interchanging between push presses, strict standing military's, and seated DB presses for my supplemental. Other than that, I'm good to go.

verbatimreturned Yes ive been lifting for some time now just messing around with the single rep range

0311 you answered my question i was asking if you did the same type of curl everytime but know i know. Thanks

I squated a2g today and i got 285 i know its weak but one good way to look at it is theres a ton of room for improvment. Im 6 ft tall.

Kane 07-27-2006 03:54 PM

Put up 265 for 2 reps on Flat Bench today!!!
