Default Olympic bar collars

Hi,

I need to get some sort of olympic bar collars. I was thinking of getting a pair of 'Troy Olympic Spring Clamp Collars with Rubber Grips'. Does anyone recommend these or know of something better? I want something that's easy and quick to take on and off but holds the plates together.

Thanks.

Riley

There are some plastic ones at my gym that tighten with the twist of a small lever. Very cool and easy to use. I haven't ever used them though, so maybe someone else has some input. I don't know if they work well or not.

I hate the type that uses a set-screw to tighten into the bar. I've got ones made by Lock Jaw that work great.

The ones that you linked to are the ones at the gym I go to. They work good and are quick to get on and off. The set screw ones suck.

Those lock jaws are probably pretty cool. There are some other similar ones on the market as well. I'd be cautious about something so engineered though. A basic old fashioned spring clip lasts a long time. I would think those other types would be not be as long lasting. But they may hold better. I tend to keep the bar level though, lol

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
