i know u said a month 0311.....i wasnt questioning ur knowledge (which i am fully aware is a lot more than mine) i was just highlifting other alternatives to what he could do post Max OT if needs be.

Don't take offense as that's not the route I'm headed.

I'm trying to convey that I'm done fighting the good fight. I must've recommended these 5x5's to a hundred people over the past three years and only about 8 people listened.

What YOU recommended is of course the best way to go.. Far better than Max-OT.

0311, you need to keep a template response to these types of questions like I do. When they are asked, just copy and paste the response in from the template ...

Ok, i dont really do that, but its a good idea. you can get burned out giving the same advice over and over. pace yourself big guy, 8% aint a bad turn around hahaha.

i know i know i know :) its all good.....and no, most people wont listen.....simple isnt right....the more complicated the program the more they want to do it....wierd....

_Wolf_ 07-10-2007 12:01 PM

oh, and i used to be one of them lol

Darkhorse 07-10-2007 12:02 PM

LOL, that's what I was going to post! A sticky everyone can cut and paste to save time:

* Strength levels for squat/bench/deadlift
* Experience (not that that one matters as someone could be lifting for 10 years and not know shit lol) <- Sleeper??
* What are you currently doing?

Next post:

* Rippetoe's Starting Strength
* Bill Starr's single factor 5x5

Blah blah blah.

Oh, and the bodybuilding.net official response to anyone not wanting to listen to those kinds of programs:

* For beginners, strength training IS hypertrophy training. You can rest pause, drop set, superset all day with light weight, but the only infinite factor in bodybuilding is LOAD.

hrdgain81 07-10-2007 12:13 PM

yeah, well it takes a long time to realize that you really dont know shit, and you need to take a step back and listen to those who do know. Hell, we all fall into it man.

Some can be converted like anuj, others will go on living in self delusion.

The new sig cracked me up, having to clean out your pm's every other day again bro?

Darkhorse 07-10-2007 12:25 PM

Nah, less frequency, but more volume. :D
