Default Post 5x5 Cut Routine

I'll be coming off a 5x5 routine next week with tremendous strength gains. I'd like to drop some of this fat. I'm looking for something that will get me in the gym 4 days a week (the 5x5 was only 3 days a week) to try and burn some more calories.

I was thinking of doing an upper/lower split 4 days a week centered around compound movements. Any suggestions on this cutting method? Of course, I will be dieting and adding cardio as well.

Thanks in advance.

How long did you run the 5x5 for? I'd suggest running it again, just with restricted calories. You may not gain any muscle/strength, but you wont lose any either.

I've been doing the 5X5 since Nov. with excellent results too. I think you should keep doing it as well but tweak your diet a little. I'm starting to cut up right now doing this program and I'm still eating the same amount of calories. Post a sample of your meals.

I've been hitting around 3,000 calories a day with 225-250 grams of protein a day. I tried to stick around 2,500 calories a day when I first started this 5x5 but a little after a week in to it I was getting hungry a lot because the workout was really taxing my body.

I ran the 5x5 posted here in this forum. Perhaps I should try another 5x5 routine? What 5x5 are you running Skeetopunk01?
